About the position

The Administrative Assistant/Payroll Clerk position at Lucky's Team involves supporting HR functions and payroll processing in a growing dog treat manufacturing and e-commerce company. The role requires bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, and focuses on compliance with employment regulations, employee relations, and maintaining accurate records.

Responsibilities

  • Onboarding and offboarding employees.
  • Assist in developing programs, policies, and practices for compliance with employment regulations.
  • Manage HR employment compliance processes, including administration of I-9 and monitoring background checks.
  • Maintain both paper and electronic files related to HR processes.
  • Process workers' compensation claims and assist with safety policies.
  • Process payroll for employees.
  • Handle employee relations and maintain confidentiality.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of related work experience and/or education.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws including DOL, FLSA, ADA, and EEOC.
  • Familiarity with regulatory agency standards such as FDA, OSHA, and GMP.
  • Broad knowledge of HR functions related to leave management, hiring, and compliance.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily work.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in HR and recruiting in a manufacturing or warehouse environment.
  • Working knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Benefits

  • Competitive hourly pay of $18.00 to $22.00.
  • Full-time employment with a consistent schedule from Monday to Friday.
