About the position

The Korean American Federation of Los Angeles (KAFLA) is seeking a highly organized and motivated Administrative Assistant/Program Manager to support various administrative and programmatic functions. This role involves conducting bookkeeping tasks, managing programs, assisting community members in accessing services, and supporting community enhancement projects. The position requires collaboration with the executive team and program staff to ensure performance outcomes are met.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the executive team and board of directors
  • Administer payroll
  • Track fiscal expenditures
  • Work with CPA to draft invoices and financial reports
  • Work with program staff to ensure programmatic requirements are met
  • Engage in community and digital media outreach
  • Conduct intake and assessment of clients
  • Provide one-on-one assistance to help access services and enroll in public benefits
  • Collect all necessary client facts and documents to complete enrollment, loan application, etc.
  • Obtain ongoing training on various public benefits such as small business loans, unemployment assistance, rent relief, etc.
  • Attend meetings
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Fluency in Korean and English
  • Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) preferred
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Proven experience as an executive or administrative assistant, program manager or coordinator, financial clerk, case manager, or other relevant work
  • Accounting experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of personal computers, printers, copiers, and fax machines
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), QuickBooks, ADP Run, Adobe, project management, and video conferencing platforms
  • Experience in the development and use of database applications
  • Ability to organize and prepare documentation in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with others
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritize work
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
