About the position

LHB is seeking a motivated individual to join their Public Works, Structures, and Survey, and Energy & Industry departments in a hybrid role based in Duluth. The position involves assisting with project documentation, supporting project managers, and ensuring effective communication among various stakeholders to deliver high-quality work.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with preparation and proofreading of project contracts and other documents, including proposals, correspondence, reports, specifications, and meeting minutes.
  • Assist Project Managers and Principals with tasks during the design and construction of projects, including scheduling, meeting attendance, client communications, and coordination of project information.
  • Organize information in project files, including tracking contracts and insurance information.
  • Communicate closely with design professionals, clients, contractors, and governmental agencies to deliver high-quality work products.
  • Work occasional overtime as required to meet deadlines.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in a closely related field or three years of relative experience in a professional office environment.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively among multiple teams.
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills, including editing and proofreading.
  • Proficient in MS Office 365, with advanced competency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.

Nice-to-haves

  • Knowledge and understanding of architecture or engineering design and construction processes.
  • CSI CDT Certification.
  • Experience with EJCDC and/or AIA documents.
  • Familiarity with Minnesota prevailing wage requirements and reports.
  • Familiarity with MnDOT, MnDOT State Aid and/or Minnesota County specifications and processes.
  • Familiarity in the energy industry.
