About the position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Administrative Assistant to support the daily operations of our company. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance, with knowledge of tax regulations and financial concepts. This role is crucial for maintaining accurate records and assisting with various administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, responding to emails, and managing calendars
  • Prepare and distribute correspondence, memos, and reports
  • Assist with bookkeeping tasks including data entry, reconciling accounts, and generating financial reports
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions
  • Assist with tax preparation and ensure compliance with tax regulations
  • Process invoices and manage accounts payable and receivable
  • Conduct research on various topics as assigned
  • Assist with special projects and initiatives as needed

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Quicken, Sage, or QuickBooks
  • Familiarity with debits, credits, journal entries, and general ledger accounts
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
