About the position

The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the administrative functions of the organization. This position involves routine clerical, secretarial, and administrative tasks, including managing phone communications, assisting customers, processing data, and maintaining records. The role also includes supporting various HR needs and ensuring the smooth operation of the office environment.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and answer the central telephone system, directing calls accordingly.
  • Prepare outgoing mail and sort and distribute incoming mail.
  • Receive the public and answer questions, both in person and by telephone.
  • Operate office machines as required.
  • Duplicate and distribute materials.
  • Type and edit correspondence, reports, and other materials.
  • Support Human Resources and Accounting by completing data entry and filing as needed.
  • Order and maintain office and kitchen supplies.
  • Serve as Administrative Assistant to the President.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

Requirements

  • Administrative assistance experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Experience in an industrial or services environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Basic HR experience is a plus.
  • Experience as an Office Manager or Clerical Assistant.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook.
