About the position

The Administrative Assistant at Compassus plays a crucial role in supporting executives and promoting the company's values of Compassion, Integrity, Excellence, Teamwork, and Innovation. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks, including calendar management, travel arrangements, and meeting coordination, all aimed at fostering positive relationships within the organization and with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provides administrative support including calendar management, processing expense reports, and booking travel arrangements for several executives.
  • Assists in planning and executing in-person and virtual meetings, events, and conferences, including site selection, registration, catering needs, agendas, minutes, and contract negotiation.
  • Completes projects as assigned by Executives.
  • Prepares correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc., and processes as needed.
  • Serves as backup to other Executive Assistants and Administrative Assistants in the event of absence.
  • Handles incoming calls, emails, and inquiries, directing them to the appropriate leader or team member.
  • Prepares and distributes minutes of meetings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Six (6) to twelve (12) months experience as an Administrative Assistant or related role preferred.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a healthcare or hospice environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with office software and tools.
