About the position

The Administrative Assistant role at Lockheed Martin Space involves supporting the Fleet Ballistic Missile Program (FBM) at the Missile Integrated Support Facility (MISF) in Kings Bay, Georgia. This position is crucial for ensuring smooth operations within the program by managing administrative tasks, coordinating training, and facilitating communication among team members and external stakeholders. The role emphasizes organization, communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform training coordinator functions within two different production shops.
  • Set up and maintain files, maintain calendars, and provide phone coverage.
  • Interview callers and make proper referrals.
  • Arrange and support on-site and offsite meetings, including video teleconferences and Microsoft Teams meetings.
  • Arrange travel plans for the assigned group and prepare expense reports.
  • Receive, refer, and answer mail.
  • Produce and reproduce PowerPoint charts/agendas.
  • Maintain team rosters and organizational charts.
  • Act as the employee engagement lead by developing innovative ways to engage with employees, including hosting monthly meetings and requesting feedback.
  • Assist with coordinating volunteer support for program events by managing volunteer lists and sending communications regarding logistics.
  • Support morale and diversity events within the facility.
  • Provide backup for the VP and site director's administrative assistant during absences.
  • Support customer relations and interface, including customer visits and meetings, and coordinate badge access and visit requests with LM Security.

Requirements

  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and general internet proficiency.
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately complete complex travel arrangements and expense reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize, organize, and complete work on time.
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a US DoD SECRET clearance.
