About the position

The Administrative Assistant at WellSpan Health plays a crucial role in providing diversified and confidential administrative support within The Good Samaritan Hospital. This position requires a blend of technical, communication, and interpersonal skills to effectively manage various administrative tasks, coordinate programs, and support leadership in their daily operations.

Responsibilities

  • Composes documents such as memorandums, policies, committee minutes, manuals, letters, and forms from dictation.
  • Answers telephones, routes callers, takes messages, and provides routine information to callers.
  • Schedules appointments and maintains daily calendar(s).
  • Coordinates and arranges meetings, appointments, and facilities, and records minutes as required.
  • Collects information needed for conferences and reports.
  • Sets up and maintains files and records, including confidential information.
  • Transcribes dictation of a highly confidential nature.
  • Compiles data for and prepares reports, analyses, and statements.
  • Enters and retrieves data from established computer files or cloud-based systems.
  • Opens and routes incoming mail and distributes correspondence to staff.
  • Administers and coordinates assigned programs, projects, and processes.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Associates Degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience required.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Transcription skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
