About the position

The Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in providing comprehensive administrative support to the Executive Director and the Head Start Management Team. This position is essential for ensuring smooth operations within the organization, requiring strong organizational, clerical, and interpersonal communication skills. The Admin Assistant is expected to maintain a professional image of the Consortium and actively participate in various committees and work teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct assistance to the Executive Director and Head Start Management Team with administrative support services.
  • Secure facilities documentation and provide monitoring as needed in conjunction with management.
  • Present a positive and professional image of the Consortium and the Head Start division.
  • Actively and effectively participate on committees and work teams as requested.
  • Manage complex projects and demonstrate excellent clerical and organizational skills.
  • Utilize effective interpersonal and communication skills to facilitate communication with HS Parents and Community Partners.

Requirements

  • Strong commitment to personal ethical integrity.
  • Ability to identify special needs in human diversity and modify practices accordingly.
  • Understanding of boundaries regarding private and management information.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
