About the position

Weyerhaeuser is seeking an experienced Administrative Assistant to support the Strategy and Technology (S&T) team, specifically for the Timberlands S&T staff in the South and Northeast regions of the United States. This role involves providing administrative support to S&T Directors and Southern Managers, managing specific assignments at the organizational level, and ensuring safe and efficient operations. The position is based in the Tree Improvement Center in Oliver, GA, and will transition to a hybrid schedule after onboarding.

Responsibilities

  • Role model safety and support the administrative duties for the health and safety program and Weyerhaeuser's audit process.
  • Provide day-to-day support for general business functions.
  • Coordinate meeting arrangements and assist with scheduling and meeting preparation, including room reservations, meals, and logistics.
  • Manage the organization's safety, administrative, and technical documents, as well as the administration of SharePoint pages and content.
  • Act as the site contact for contracted services, including equipment and building maintenance.
  • Administer and coordinate the shipping/receiving of parcels and mail, and maintain general office supplies.
  • Collaborate with other S&T admins to flow the assigned work between areas to support the department as requested.
  • Manage company vehicle fleet administration, including pick-up trucks and SUVs.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree (or higher) in Office Administration strongly preferred.
  • At least two years of administrative experience, preferably in contract maintenance, office supply management, vendor communication, facility records management, equipment maintenance coordination, health and safety compliance, and event support.
  • General knowledge of sound office practices.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to learn company-specific programs.
  • Commitment to safety for self and team.
  • Exceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation, listening).
  • Ability to shift priorities and manage time effectively, completing a variety of work with changing deadlines accurately and on time.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills.
  • Willingness and desire to develop and expand knowledge and skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface with team members and internal customers confidently and professionally.
  • Results-oriented with a strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
