About the position

The Advancement Assistant at Secured Alliance plays a crucial role in supporting the organization's Advancement team. This position involves enhancing business development efforts through effective communication and relationship management with clients and referral sources. The ideal candidate will be organized, collaborative, and capable of working autonomously while caring for vulnerable populations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the VP of Advancement
  • Interact with referral sources, prospective clients, and their surrogates as needed
  • Create and manage referral sources within the database
  • Answer advancement phone line and respond to inquiries
  • Assist clients and referral sources by researching issues and answering questions
  • Follow-up with referral sources and new clients to collect documents and other needed elements to open accounts
  • Record correspondence and documents in CRM
  • Gather, prepare, and send marketing collateral to prospective clients and referral sources
  • Monitor and manage new business pipeline
  • Assist with scheduling calls for services
  • Support routine and ad-hoc business development meetings and reporting
  • Distribute and monitor online inquiries
  • Manage scheduling and logistics for the Department as needed
  • Consult with the external event coordinator and the Marketing Department in the preparation of designs, renderings, exhibitor kits, floor plans, and other event-related requirements
  • Work with other departments to formulate timelines and have overall responsibility for event profitability

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education required
  • 1-2 years of administrative assistant (or similar) experience
  • Knowledge of appropriate software including Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
  • Must successfully complete background check

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Sales or business development experience
  • Customer service experience
