About the position

The Store Administrative Assistant at DICK'S Sporting Goods plays a vital role in supporting the Store Management team by handling various administrative tasks. This position focuses on maintaining store documentation, managing electronic communications, ensuring program compliance, and overseeing recordkeeping. The assistant will also help with scheduling, payroll administration, and fostering an inclusive environment for both teammates and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Store Management team.
  • Assist managers with store reporting and recordkeeping maintenance.
  • Monitor store communication systems and ensure proper dissemination of information.
  • Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll administration under manager guidance.
  • Oversee employee records and files, including time & attendance records.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety and loss prevention.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all Company information.
  • Create an inclusive in-store environment for teammates and customers.
  • Support the team across the store as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • Prior retail administrative experience preferred.
  • Ability to stand, bend, stoop, reach, push, pull and lift items weighing 15 to 35 lbs occasionally (up to 5 times per hour).
  • Ability to work extended periods of time (up to 4 hours) standing or walking.
