About the position

The Administrative Assistant position at Signature Healthcare involves providing essential administrative support to the Pastoral Care Department. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency and standards of the department, which is part of the interdisciplinary care team within the hospital and Cancer Center. The assistant will manage data collection, file management, and assist with various administrative tasks to support staff, volunteers, and the public.

Responsibilities

  • Manages all administrative needs of the Pastoral Care Department.
  • Provides information and assistance to the Volunteers, Staff, and the Public.
  • Organizes and establishes a process for consistent file management.
  • Maintains office supplies and religious literature.
  • Oversees the use and maintenance of the Pastoral Care Office and Chapel.
  • Refers questions and/or problems to the Manager of Pastoral Care.
  • Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment.
  • Commits to recognize and respect cultural diversity for all customers (internal and external).
  • Communicates effectively with internal and external customers with respect of differences in cultures, values, beliefs, and ages, utilizing interpreters when needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Equivalent
  • One to Two years of advanced administrative experience preferred
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly MS Word and Excel; Meditech
