Responsibilities

  • Perform specialized technical and high-level clerical duties of an administrative program nature.
  • Ensure the accuracy of data and case information by reviewing, correcting, and amending information prior to processing.
  • Exercise independent judgment in the authorization of case closures, openings, entry, or docketing.
  • Prepare unique or complex correspondence and draft appropriate responses by reviewing documentation.
  • Resolve workflow problems by developing or altering processes and procedures to meet expectations.
  • Maintain historical information by docketing data in a manual or computerized docketing system.
  • Prepare specialized or technical reports and memorandums from raw data.
  • Verify issues or concerns by reviewing or soliciting support information from appropriate outside entities.
  • Contribute to the team effort by accomplishing related results in a cooperative and collaborative manner.

Requirements

  • Completion of an Associate's Degree in management, business or public administration, administrative services or a related discipline and 2 years of professional administrative clerical experience.
  • Completion of a clerical training program and 3 years of related experience.
  • Analytical ability to interpret rules and regulations associated with the legal substance of assigned unit.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment consistent with the policies and procedures of the Office.
  • Ability to maintain satisfactory working relationships with other employees and the general public.
