The Administrative Clerk at H.D. Fowler Company plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the corporate office. This full-time position involves performing various clerical duties, managing multiple tasks, and providing administrative support to the team. Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the corporate office
  • Answer phone calls, schedule meetings, and support visitors
  • Carry out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
  • Create, format, proofread, and edit documents
  • Make travel arrangements such as booking flights, cars, and hotel or restaurant reservations
  • Exhibit polite and professional communication
  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques
  • Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies
  • Report and follow up on issues with the office/building to the facility management team
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • Other duties as assigned by the supervisor

Requirements

  • Experience with multi-line phone systems and other essential office equipment
  • Computer skills (MS Office 365 proficiency)
  • High accuracy and organized
  • Able to operate within and prioritize under tight deadlines
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong communication skills; ability to interact productively and positively with executive management, supervisors, peers, and customers
  • Able to operate in a high-paced, demanding environment under a variety of conditions
  • Able to work overtime when necessary and required
  • Takes direction and feedback with a willingness to meet expectations
