About the position

The Administrative Coordinator 2 position within the Office of Early Childhood Operations focuses on supporting the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) by managing correspondence, documentation, and compliance with state and federal regulations. This role requires strong organizational and customer service skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while following detailed procedural guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and categorize incoming correspondence and confidential documents.
  • Scan, mail, or email documents to the department.
  • Support the collection and mailing of National Voter Registration documents.
  • Ensure compliance with LDOE shredding guidelines for document destruction.
  • Provide necessary documentation to analysts for case decisions.
  • Process routine paperwork and enter data into department logs or databases.
  • Prepare, index, and scan documents into the imaging system.
  • Maintain the department's records system, including filing and retrieving documents.

Requirements

  • One year of experience in clerical work.
  • Training in a business or clerical-related curriculum can substitute for experience.
  • Completion of a business or clerical-related curriculum can substitute for required experience.
  • College training can substitute for experience on a specific basis.
