About the position

Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine is seeking an Administrative Coordinator of Social Media & Marketing to join our team in Provo, UT. This full-time position is designed for an individual who is passionate about digital marketing and social media management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop and implement innovative marketing strategies across various media platforms. The primary goal of this role is to expand and engage Noorda-COM's audiences through effective storytelling and creative content creation. In this role, the Administrative Coordinator will act as the primary content creator for the college's official social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Responsibilities will include shooting and editing photos and videos, writing engaging captions, and managing the social media posting schedule. The candidate will also be responsible for collecting metrics and interpreting social media data to inform future strategies. Additionally, the coordinator will serve as the primary editor and designer for the college's website, collaborating with internal content creators to ensure a cohesive online presence. The position requires a strong understanding of current digital marketing best practices and a creative mindset for experimenting with new ideas. The ideal candidate will have experience in copywriting, graphic design, and photography/videography, as well as a proven ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role is essential in enhancing brand awareness and recognition for Noorda College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the successful candidate will play a key role in shaping the college's narrative and public image.

Responsibilities

  • Manage social media platforms as the primary content creator for official accounts (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).
  • Shoot and edit photos and videos for social media content.
  • Write engaging captions for social media posts.
  • Coordinate and execute the social media posting schedule.
  • Assist in managing social media accounts, including posting, scheduling, monitoring, and interpreting data.
  • Collect metrics and interpret social media data to inform strategies.
  • Act as the primary editor and designer for the college's website.
  • Collaborate with internal campus website content creators.
  • Design, write, and distribute quarterly e-newsletters and other email campaigns.
  • Collaborate with other departments to meet their social media, copywriting, email, or website needs.
  • Write media materials such as news releases, public service announcements, and media advisories.
  • Train and guide faculty, staff, and students on best practices for working with media.
  • Work collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications Manager to develop and implement a strong brand strategy.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, or a relevant field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of two years of experience preferred, particularly in managing social media accounts and graphic design.
  • Experience in photography/videography creation and editing is highly preferred.
  • Strong copywriting and storytelling skills.
  • Experience in social media content creation and management from a strategic perspective.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator.
  • Experience with Adobe Lightroom and Canva is highly preferred.
  • Critical thinking skills with a creative eye for design.
