About the position

The Administrative Coordinator - General Clerk 3 for Controlled Stores Operation plays a crucial role in supporting the Spacecraft Development Department by managing inventory control and distribution systems. This position involves shipping and receiving duties, ensuring excellent customer service, and collaborating with various engineering and project management teams to facilitate project progress and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize and maintain an inventory control and distribution system in support of projects.
  • Function as a contributing team member and provide excellent customer service while maintaining urgency.
  • Take ownership of customer issues and follow through to resolution.
  • Coordinate with Parts Engineering, Project Management, Process Engineering, and Fabrication to support Space Sector objectives.
  • Receive, store, and issue mechanical and electrical components.
  • Process parts requests to ensure project progress and operations.
  • Document and process all transactions accurately to maintain traceability.
  • Conduct actual inventory counts and resolve stock discrepancies.
  • Package and ship high-value parts and assemblies, processing all necessary paperwork.
  • Maintain knowledge of inventory items and their locations.
  • Perform inventory counts and maintain accurate accounting of Controlled Stores stock inventory.
  • Work with structured work instructions and document all work performed.
  • Collaborate with Process Engineering to develop new processes and equipment installations.
  • Correct, update, and generate Division Operating Procedures as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associates degree in Business Administration or Administrative Management preferred.
  • 4-10 years of relevant administrative training.
  • 1+ years of stock room experience and inventory control.
  • Strong MS Word and Excel skills applied to shipping and receiving.
  • Knowledge of stock room procedures and proper storage of high-value or delicate items.
  • 1+ years of ERP/MRP experience with Purchase Requisition/Purchase Order processes including shipping and receiving activities.
  • 1+ years of knowledge of electronic components related to shipping and receiving and handling ESD principles.
  • IPC-J-Standard 033C training/certification or ability to be trained on these principles.
  • A valid/clear driver's license is required.
