About the position

The Administrative Coordinator at Reed College will provide essential customer service and administrative support to the Center for Life Beyond Reed (CLBR), a team dedicated to assisting students and alumni with career development, fellowships, and graduate school resources. This role involves front desk responsibilities and requires strong communication and organizational skills to effectively support the team's goals and initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to emails and answer phone calls
  • Serve as liaison with technical support staff for office equipment
  • Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, take notes at meetings, and archive proceedings
  • Assist in preparation of reports and presentations and aid in budgeting process
  • Inventory and order office supplies
  • Process receipts and reimbursement forms
  • Assist in program planning and development and support tracking and implementation of team goals for inclusion and equity
  • Maintain department website, and coordinate email and social media marketing for CLBR activities
  • Coach and mentor student workers to support administrative duties
  • Communicate and coordinate with Alumni Relations regarding alumni volunteer support and activity
  • Coordinate student curricular training program, including communication with students, employers, and Registrar
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 1 year of experience in customer service or performing administrative duties
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented
  • Highly collaborative and able to follow through
  • Aptitude and comfort with technology and learning new systems
  • Effective written and verbal communicator
  • Commitment to continued learning about Diversity, Equity and Inclusion
  • Flexible and able to prioritize work as situations change

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a higher education environment
