About the position

Rug & Home is seeking a Customer Service Associate to provide exceptional service at their Raleigh location. The role involves acting as a liaison between the company and customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a genuine desire to assist customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage incoming phone calls and ringing up in-store customers
  • Identify and assess customers' needs to achieve satisfaction
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate and valid information using the right methods and tools
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within the time limits; follow up to ensure resolution
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer orders and file documents
  • Follow communication procedures, guidelines and policies
  • Take the extra mile to engage customers
  • Process incoming product paperwork to ensure accurate inventory for customers and the stores

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Customer Service Associate or similar role
  • Track record of over-achieving quota
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, databases and information systems
