About the position

The Administrative Director of Medical Education (ADME) is responsible for overseeing the accreditation process for specialty programs and managing the administrative operations of medical education programs at HCA Florida Capital Hospital. This role involves ensuring compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies, guiding initiatives for new residency programs, and maintaining relationships with service lines and C-Suite personnel to promote GME-related activities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain oversight of the accreditation process for specialty programs and institutional accreditation.
  • Direct the administrative operations of all medical education programs, including undergraduate medical education.
  • Ensure program compliance with accrediting and regulatory agencies.
  • Make recommendations for improvement based on accreditation requirements.
  • Assist in opening new residency programs as directed by leadership.
  • Create and maintain business relationships with service lines and C-Suite personnel.
  • Support resident activities via program directors and coordinators.
  • Facilitate ongoing readiness for ACGME Annual Institutional Review.
  • Track residency program citations and develop action plans to address them.
  • Oversee resident work hours, supervision, and evaluation processes.
  • Manage GME physician agreements and ensure smooth transitions for program directors and faculty.
  • Develop and manage operating and capital budgets for related programs.
  • Supervise daily activities of program coordinators and conduct performance appraisals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 3 years of experience in a graduate medical education or healthcare medical education setting.
  • Management experience preferred.
  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in a graduate medical education setting for at least 3 years.
  • Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement.
