About the position

The Administrative Executive Director for the Stephenson Pancreatic Cancer Research (SPCR) LLC will lead the administration of the Stephenson Prize, focusing on organizing key events, managing operational initiatives, and ensuring effective collaboration with the Pancreatic Research Director. This role is pivotal in driving scientific discovery in pancreatic cancer research and involves strategic planning, budget management, and oversight of grant processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the administration of the Stephenson Prize, including organizing the annual Stephenson Symposium and managing Laureate and Fellowship awards.
• Collaborate with the Pancreatic Research Director to execute and grow Prize-related activities.
• Facilitate preparation for the Stephenson Scientific Advisory Board (SSAB) meetings.
• Manage the grant RFA and awards process, ensuring compliance with funding guidelines.
• Develop and implement the strategic roadmap with clear goals and performance metrics.
• Track progress against strategic objectives and adjust as needed for successful outcomes.
• Develop and manage the budget for effective resource allocation.
• Mitigate financial and operational risks, escalating issues as necessary.
• Enhance the brand and public profile of the Stephenson Prize through strategic marketing initiatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate meetings of the SSAB, ensuring productive discussions.
• Oversee the operations of the Prize Committee for timely administration of the selection process.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, public health, healthcare administration, or related fields.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in an administrative leadership role, preferably in a research or healthcare setting.
• Experience overseeing large scale programs, including financial oversight, operations, stakeholder management, and grant/prize administration.
