About the position

The Administrative Fellowship is designed as an introductory occupational experience aimed at preparing future healthcare administrators. This program combines academic knowledge with practical experience in healthcare management and administration, providing fellows with a comprehensive understanding of hospital and clinic operations within an academic medical center. The fellowship includes shadowing key areas of the hospital, engaging with leadership, and participating in management training and conferences.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a month-long shadowing experience in three key areas of the hospital.
• Engage in one-on-one introductory meetings with hospital leadership and executives.
• Attend management curriculum coordinated by Human Resource Development (HRD).
• Take part in various conferences and hospital functions.

Requirements

• Enrollment in a CAHME accredited Master's program in Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or Business Administration with a focus on healthcare administration.
• Completion of coursework from the aforementioned programs.
• Prior healthcare experience through a summer internship.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
• Active volunteerism.
