About the position

The Manager, HR Operations at OU Health is responsible for overseeing HR policies, programs, and procedures, focusing on enhancing the onboarding experience for new employees, contingent workers, and students. This role involves managing the shared services and onboarding specialist teams, ensuring compliance, and driving process improvements to create a seamless employee lifecycle experience. The position requires strong analytical skills and a process-oriented mindset to elevate HR practices and support the organization's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute OU Health's HR/People Operations Strategy to improve employee experience and operational efficiency.
  • Evaluate and enhance the onboarding process for new employees, contingent workers, and students.
  • Oversee administration of new hire onboarding activities, including paperwork, background checks, and health visits.
  • Coordinate off-boarding activities for employees and contingent workers.
  • Collaborate with HR and Hiring Leaders to drive innovation and best practices in onboarding and off-boarding.
  • Audit existing processes to ensure compliance and maintain inclusive procedures.
  • Partner with Employee Experience and Talent Acquisition Teams to manage start dates and orientation status.
  • Create reports and use analytics to guide operational strategy and decision-making.
  • Develop and manage onboarding process documentation and policies.
  • Manage direct reports, including coaching and performance management.
  • Identify gaps in HR systems and recommend change initiatives to improve operations.
  • Resolve HR Operations-related issues while anticipating team and organizational needs.
  • Maintain accountability as an authorized administrator in Workday with confidential HRIS data.
  • Assist in creating and managing service and quality standards for service team delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required.
  • 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience required.
  • SHRM - CP or Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification required.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing and implementing customer-focused processes.
  • Knowledge of employment law and its impact on HR programs.
  • Excellent cross-functional partnership experience with credibility and influence.
  • Experience partnering with external vendors and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Ability to analyze complex HR problems and evaluate various factors.
  • Excellent data analysis skills and experience using metrics for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to read and interpret policies, contracts, and legal documents.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Working knowledge of HRIS systems such as Workday.
