About the position

Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, Inc. is seeking a part-time Operations Assistant who will work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment. The role involves providing personalized support to multiple departments and the regional director, contributing to the organization's mission of empowering children to realize their full potential. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and organizational skills, and a passion for the cause.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the accuracy and integrity of the customer relationship management system, including data entry and report preparation.
  • Develop and maintain a digital filing system for easy access to files.
  • Enter accounts receivable and prepare Cash Transmittal Reports.
  • Prepare payment authorizations and ensure timely accounts payable.
  • Support teacher requests and assist in educator renewals.
  • Identify retirees and new hires at program sites.
  • Support volunteer retention and manage compliance with background check policies.
  • Maintain program kit material and office supply inventory.
  • Manage the class verification process and submit registration information by deadlines.
  • Monitor assigned fundraising campaigns and secure in-kind items for events.
  • Assist with event setup, management, and follow-up, including preparing acknowledgments and invoices.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers, handling correspondence professionally.
  • Prepare supporting information for meetings, campaigns, and events, including securing photos and distributing press releases.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • 2-3 years of administrative experience.
  • Working knowledge of grammar usage, letter writing skills, and proofreading.
  • Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and data management.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to function effectively under pressure.
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize workload and complete tasks accurately and on time.
  • Valid Wisconsin Driver's License.
