About the position

The Administrative Operations Specialist at Easterseals MORC is responsible for providing exceptional customer service and managing office operations to support individuals and families seeking services. This role involves engaging consumers in a welcoming manner, handling check-ins and check-outs, processing payments, and ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Engage consumers in a welcoming and empathetic manner.
  • Provide outstanding customer service during check-in and check-out processes.
  • Collect and log payments and copays using credit card machines.
  • Verify and obtain prior authorizations for services.
  • Update accounts with new or changed demographic or financial information.
  • Answer and triage internal and external telephone calls.
  • Conduct initial screenings to determine the nature of requests or problems.
  • Make and change appointments, and follow up to minimize no-shows.
  • Calculate Ability to Pay (ATP) financial information and enter it into the Electronic Health Record.
  • Answer inquiries regarding payments, balances due, and departmental procedures.
  • Assist with insurance verification as needed.
  • Operate office machines such as computers, scanners, and copy machines.
  • Ensure paperwork is maintained according to Medicaid and Department of Community Health guidelines.
  • Collaborate on special team projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Entry-level position.
