About the position

As an Administrative Specialist in NASA's Office of Diversity and Equal Opportunity, you will oversee critical mission contracts, streamline administrative processes, and lead strategic initiatives in support of enterprise business and HR operations. This role is essential in ensuring that the office's functions align with NASA's strategic goals during an ongoing organizational transformation.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor contractor performance to ensure deliverables meet required standards.
  • Administer critical mission contracts, ensuring alignment with NASA's strategic initiatives.
  • Co-manage budgets and resources effectively, aligning core functions with fluctuating budget allocations.
  • Organize work priorities for alignment with enterprise projects and initiatives.
  • Evaluate processes and outcomes for improvement and impact on the enterprise.
  • Streamline business and administrative processes/workflows, including workforce planning and HR operations.
  • Research, interpret, and apply government-wide laws and NASA policies to ensure compliance.
  • Manage key enterprise projects and strategic initiatives, coordinating with stakeholders for timely delivery.
  • Design new methods and approaches to ensure enterprise adaptability to changing needs.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence, and innovation.

Requirements

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, supporting projects through planning and execution.
  • Experience monitoring contractor performance to ensure compliance with organizational standards.
  • Researching laws and policies to optimize business processes and improve operational efficiency for GS-12.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, collaborating with stakeholders for timely project delivery.
  • Evaluating contractor performance to verify deliverables meet organizational standards and support service enhancements.
