About The Position

The Administrative Specialist at the Montana State Library (MSL) plays a crucial role in supporting the agency's daily operations. Requirements

  • At least two years of previous administrative or clerical support experience.
  • Current or previous administrative experience with a state agency is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Perform daily administrative duties including calendaring, meeting coordination, and program support.
  • Manage purchasing, records, and property management.
  • Provide financial services support.
  • Support the MSL Commission, councils, and advisory groups by posting public meeting notices and online materials.
  • Coordinate meetings and provide day-of administrative support, including minute taking and follow-up.
  • Update and manage website content and internal/external communications.
  • Assist in planning and implementing meetings, conferences, and special events.
