About The Position

The Administrative Support Associate (ASC) at Bloomingdale's plays a crucial role in supporting the General Manager (GM) and enhancing the customer experience. This position involves executing store administrative functions and supporting HR initiatives, ensuring a seamless operation within the store. The ASC is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing schedules, and assisting with various administrative tasks to promote a positive work environment and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years related experience in administrative support or retail environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and present information in one-on-one and small group situations.
  • Strong planning and execution skills to manage workflow and achieve priorities.
  • Flexibility to work a retail schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in retail management or customer service roles.
  • Familiarity with HR processes and recruitment strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as gatekeeper for GM schedule and point person for escalated customer/employee issues.
  • Provide an exceptional customer experience by prioritizing both in-store and online customers.
  • Service customers who visit the Executive Office / Store Manager office for assistance.
  • Respond and address customer concerns quickly, whether in person, TUWYT, or NPS feedback.
  • Participate in the production of the store daily communication newsletter.
  • Produce GM required correspondence and floor present as needed to support the store.
  • Assist with the development and update of executive schedules, travel planning, and expense report coordination for GM.
  • Manage all conference calls, Skype meetings, and other meetings.
  • Maintain awareness of all business plans and initiatives involving store participation.
  • Develop and maintain all store reports, analyzing and improving them as necessary.
  • Execute store compliance strategy and manage Cash Office functions.
  • Assist store management in sourcing applicants and ensure payroll functions are maintained and processed.
  • Assist in the Professional Development Review process and ensure completion of reviews and goal setting processes.
  • Oversee candidate management process including recruiting and onboarding coordination.
  • Plan and execute recognition activities and all-store communication meetings.
  • Drive colleague participation in the Culture Pulse Survey and manage schedule edits for BSMs.
