About the position

The Administrative Technician at YMCA Camp Horsethief Reservoir provides essential administrative support to camp operations, focusing on areas such as registration, fundraising, and marketing. This role is crucial in enhancing member experience and ensuring smooth operational processes within the camp environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manages camp databases and software to maintain accurate member and program registration data.
  • Fields, answers, or redirects member concerns and questions to strengthen their relationship with the Y.
  • Assists in coordinating registration, donor relations, acknowledgments, and stewardship efforts for the camp.
  • Reviews materials in partnership with the Marketing Communications team to ensure brand alignment and accuracy.
  • Supports Camp Operations with calendar management, meeting arrangements, correspondence, project management, and supplies.
  • Acts as a liaison between leadership staff, volunteers, and members as directed.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements

  • A minimum of two years' experience providing administrative assistance support.
  • High School diploma required; some college coursework preferred.
  • Proven communication skills with strong written, verbal, and digital media capabilities.
  • Superior internal and external customer service experience.
  • Ability to maintain professionalism in communications with camper families.
  • Basic understanding of current and common professional computer software.
  • Demonstrated skills in event planning, time management, flexibility, organization, and independent work proficiency.
  • Advanced proficiency in office equipment and computer skills using Microsoft Office & Adobe Suites.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in fundraising or donor relations.
  • Familiarity with camp operations or youth programs.
