The Administrator, Salesforce is a multifaceted role that plays a crucial part in the implementation, maintenance, and design of custom applications within the Salesforce platform. This position is not only technical but also business-facing, requiring a balance of skills to enhance user experience and drive system adoption. The Administrator will be responsible for managing user tickets to resolve bugs, configuring system enhancements, and ensuring that the Salesforce environment is optimized for user needs. This role is pivotal in shaping the system roadmap and fostering user engagement with the platform. In this role, the Administrator will implement and maintain various Salesforce configuration changes, which include but are not limited to flows, assignment rules, approval processes, fields, page layouts, record types, dynamic layouts, apps, actions, custom settings, mobile administration, Email-to-Case, templates, reports, and dashboards. The Administrator will also design, test, and develop custom applications using Apex, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce pages. User and license management is another critical aspect of this role, which involves setting up and deactivating users, managing roles, profiles, permissions, public groups, organization-wide defaults, and sharing rules. Proactive system maintenance is essential, including conducting security reviews, release updates, health checks, and managing sandbox environments. The Administrator will engage in data management activities to enhance data quality, implementing necessary rules and automation, and importing data into core objects such as accounts, contacts, and leads. Additionally, the role involves managing integrated applications and third-party suppliers, including ETL/iPaaS software and App Exchange vendors, and connecting Salesforce to external systems and databases. Participation in Steering Committee meetings is expected to help drive the system roadmap, identify priorities, and promote user adoption. The Administrator will also facilitate discovery sessions with key stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable solutions that prioritize user experience. Communication is key, as the Administrator will need to inform users and stakeholders about platform changes through various channels, including In-App Guidance walkthroughs, emails, and team meetings.
