About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Healthcare Administrator to oversee the operations of our healthcare facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in senior care, particularly in areas such as assisted living, memory care, and dementia care. This role is crucial in ensuring that our residents receive high-quality care while maintaining their rights and dignity. The Healthcare Administrator will be responsible for developing care plans, managing staff, and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the facility to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
  • Develop and implement care plans tailored to the needs of residents, focusing on dementia care and memory care.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to senior care and assisted living facilities.
  • Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to foster a positive work environment.
  • Advocate for resident rights and ensure that all staff members are trained in resident-centered care practices.
  • Coordinate with healthcare professionals, families, and social workers to provide comprehensive support for residents.
  • Monitor the quality of care provided by staff members and implement improvements as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident assessments, care plans, and progress notes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or related field; Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in healthcare management or administration within senior care settings such as retirement homes or group homes.
  • Strong understanding of dementia care principles and best practices in assisted living environments.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of resident rights and commitment to advocacy for those rights within the facility.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with residents, families, and staff.
  • Proficient in developing care plans that address individual needs while promoting independence among residents.
