About the position

The Administrator at the Eye Surgery Center of Middle Tennessee is responsible for overseeing and managing the operations of the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role involves strategic planning, coordination of clinical and support services, and ensuring high-quality patient care while maintaining operational efficiency. The Administrator will work closely with physicians, staff, and the management company to drive growth and uphold the center's standards and goals.

Responsibilities

  • Plans and directs short and long-range efforts to deliver top quartile performance in clinical quality, teammate engagement, physician satisfaction, and earnings growth.
  • Collaborates with physicians and corporate teams to ensure quality patient care is delivered cost-effectively.
  • Maintains high patient satisfaction and a positive community image.
  • Participates in monthly operating reviews to ensure financial efficiency and success.
  • Drives revenue growth through developing physician relationships and business strategies.
  • Creates and implements management processes for sustainable, long-term volume growth.
  • Sets high standards and clear focus, implementing company policies effectively.
  • Ensures positive outcomes between people, processes, and strategies to meet business objectives.
  • Promotes a positive atmosphere, high employee engagement, and teamwork.
  • Attracts, trains, develops, and retains personnel.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies.
  • Prepares and maintains ASC readiness for accreditation surveys.
  • Leads partnership meetings and prepares for Governing Board meetings.
  • Develops effective working relationships with medical staff through regular communication.

Requirements

  • BSN preferred or equivalent experience as ASC Administrator or Clinical Manager.
  • Tennessee Registered Nursing License (Required).
  • ACLS, BLS Certification (Preferred).
  • 2 years of leadership experience in healthcare operations/ASC preferred.
  • Knowledge of Ophthalmology and Retina preferred.
  • Business Office Knowledge: Coding, Billing, and Insurance Reimbursement preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
