About The Position

The Graduate Admission Counselor at Benedictine University is responsible for recruiting prospective graduate students and promoting the institution's graduate programs. This role involves managing relationships with prospective students, coordinating recruitment efforts, and collaborating with faculty program directors to meet enrollment targets. The counselor serves as the main contact for applicants, guiding them through the admissions process and ensuring a high level of service throughout their journey.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree required; Master's Degree preferred in higher education, business, or related field.
• Minimum 3-5 years of direct student recruitment experience within a college or university.
• High level of energy and drive with an entrepreneurial spirit; proficient in written and oral communication.
• Ability to work effectively in a diverse environment and independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficient in computer skills including Word processing, spreadsheets, and CRM systems (Salesforce and PeopleSoft experience a plus).
• Must be personable, outgoing, and professional in demeanor; goal-oriented with a focus on measurable outcomes.

• Comfortable delivering presentations to various audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and handle frequent interruptions.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level service to prospective students regarding degree programs, application processes, and financial aid.
• Manage the conversion of students through the graduate admissions funnel within assigned program areas.
• Create, execute, and participate in on-campus recruitment events and represent the university at off-campus events.
• Assist students through all aspects of the admissions process, including document collection and application review.
• Collaborate with program directors and support staff to meet assigned enrollment goals.
• Work with the Director of Admissions to evaluate recruitment strategies and assess effectiveness.
