About the position

The Admission Counselor / Assistant Director of Admission at Lasell University is responsible for managing the admission and recruitment process, which includes domestic travel for recruitment events, counseling prospective students, and conducting application reviews. This role requires a collaborative approach to achieve enrollment goals and involves extensive communication with students, families, and various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all aspects of the admission and recruitment process.
• Conduct fall and spring domestic recruitment travel including high school and community college visits, college fairs, and area receptions.
• Counsel prospective students and families throughout the college application and selection process.
• Assist guidance professionals, faculty, alumni/ae, and prospective students to understand the college's mission through interviews and presentations.
• Conduct thorough application reviews and provide timely decisions.
• Represent the college professionally at recruitment-related events both on- and off-campus.
• Manage a recruitment territory to achieve enrollment goals.
• Provide timely information to students about the admission process, financial aid, and academic programs.
• Follow up with students and parents via various communication methods.
• Meet departmental goals for inquiries, applications, and enrolled students.
• Conduct admission presentations and interviews during events.
• Complete routine reports related to recruitment and professional development.
• Focus on international or transfer student recruitment based on experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar role within higher education or a related field.
• Knowledge of Slate by Technolutions and MS Professional software packages preferred.
• Valid unrestricted U.S. Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
