About the position

We are currently seeking an Admission-Marketing Director to join our team in Sacramento, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective marketing strategies to attract new patients and maintain relationships with existing patients. You will also be in charge of managing the admissions team, ensuring that all admissions processes are running smoothly and efficiently. Additionally, you will collaborate with various departments, such as marketing, sales, and operations, to align strategies and achieve organizational goals. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated individual with a strong background in admissions and marketing. You should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure. As the Admission-Marketing Director, you will receive and follow work schedules and instructions from the Administrator, assist in interviewing residents and obtaining required information, and prepare identification records for residents in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will also be responsible for maintaining various registries, explaining room rates and billing procedures to residents and guardians, and ensuring that all admission papers are collected and forwarded to the appropriate department. Your role will also involve keeping abreast of current Medicare/Medicaid regulations governing admission and discharge requirements of health care facilities, maintaining daily and monthly census reports, and performing miscellaneous duties as required. You will assume the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability of performing the assigned duties of the Admissions/Marketing Director, ensuring that the needs of the facility are met effectively and efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract new patients.
  • Manage the admissions team to ensure smooth and efficient admissions processes.
  • Collaborate with various departments such as marketing, sales, and operations to align strategies.
  • Assist in interviewing residents and obtaining required information and signatures.
  • Admit and prepare identification records for residents according to established policies.
  • Record all incidents and accidents and file them appropriately.
  • Attach pre-admission documentation to admission papers as necessary.
  • Maintain a record of authorized information taken from records for insurance companies and Medicare.
  • Notify nursing service when a resident arrives at the facility for escort to their assigned room.
  • Maintain various registries including admission and discharge of residents.
  • Explain room rates, billing procedures, and resident care procedures to residents and guardians.
  • Establish and maintain a resident master card file.
  • Maintain a resident waiting list according to established policies and procedures.
  • Keep current with Medicare/Medicaid regulations governing admissions and discharges.
  • Maintain daily and monthly census reports as directed.
  • Perform secretarial duties as necessary and ensure work areas are clean and organized.

Requirements

  • Must possess a high school diploma or GED.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in admission/marketing is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility is required.
  • On-the-job training will be provided in admission procedures.
