About The Position

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of experience in hospital admissions or equivalent experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to type, spell, write or print legibly with general knowledge of personal computers.

Nice To Haves

• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.
• Knowledge of healthcare insurance and managed care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of patient registration to facilitate access services within the facility.
• Obtain and verify patient demographic and third-party information with high accuracy.
• Prepare and present legal, ethical, and compliance-related documents to patients during registration.
• Maintain knowledge of JCAHO, Patient Rights and Responsibilities, HIPAA, and various health insurance plans.
• Provide excellent customer service to both internal and external clients.
