The Admissions Advisor, Regional Liaison position at California State University San Marcos is a full-time role focused on admissions evaluation and transfer advisement. The incumbent will work under the direction of the Associate Director of Admissions, providing services to community colleges and prospective students. This role involves interpreting admission requirements, advising various stakeholders, and representing the university at community college conferences.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct admissions evaluations and provide transfer advisement.
  • Coordinate campus visits with assigned community colleges.
  • Inform and advise prospective applicants, parents, faculty, and administration on admission-related issues.
  • Participate in recruitment and yield activities specific to the position.
  • Interpret CSU and CSUSM admission requirements and make independent decisions regarding coursework acceptance.
  • Serve as a resource for university staff and external community regarding admissions requirements and procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience in admissions evaluation and transfer advisement.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions regarding admissions processes.

Nice-to-haves
