About the position

The Admissions Communications Manager at Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) is a pivotal role responsible for designing, managing, and processing all outgoing communications within the Enrollment Management Services office. This position is essential for engaging prospective students through various communication channels, including print mail, email, direct mail, text messaging, and social media. The manager will collaborate with leadership to assess the effectiveness of these communications and ensure they align with the college's goals of student success and diversity. The role requires a commitment to fostering a positive work environment and delivering first-class customer service. In this position, the manager will oversee the planning, development, and daily operations of all communications related to the admissions process. This includes generating communication for all stages of the admissions funnel, managing a recruitment communication calendar, and ensuring timely delivery of materials. The manager will also be responsible for generating CRM communications, managing social media platforms, and serving as the primary point of contact for public relations and marketing efforts related to admissions. Additionally, the role involves overseeing various software tools used for communication and tracking, as well as providing support for admissions recruitment events and programs. The Admissions Communications Manager will play a crucial role in guiding strategic enrollment management action plans through data analysis and reporting. This position requires a proactive approach to communication and a strong ability to work collaboratively with various departments and external organizations. The role may require periodic evening and weekend work, with some remote work options available at the supervisor's discretion.

Responsibilities

  • Design, manage, and process outgoing communications for Enrollment Management Services.
  • Plan, develop, and oversee daily operations of admissions communication, including emails and promotional events.
  • Develop and maintain a recruitment communication calendar and related plans.
  • Generate CRM Recruit/SparkPost communications and manage communication workflows.
  • Manage all social media platforms associated with Enrollment Management Services, including hosting live sessions.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact with GGC Public Relations and other departments for recruitment materials and marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee and update Admit Hub texting, Chat Bot, and Web Bot software for EMS.
  • Prepare daily admit reports and communication tracking reports to guide enrollment management action plans.
  • Support the Admissions Services team with recruitment events and programs, including graphic design for digital communications.
  • Perform other duties as assigned, which may require in-person attendance, including some evening and weekend work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, higher education, or communications.
