About the position
The Admissions Counselor at Nicholls State University is responsible for facilitating communication and relationships with prospective students through various outreach methods. This role involves managing a recruitment territory, participating in recruitment programs, and ensuring that diversity and equal opportunity principles are integrated into all actions and decisions.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates a relationship-based communication plan via traditional mail, phone calls, and messages through Radius, Mongoose, visits, and tours.
- Participates in recruiting programs away from campus at high schools, career centers, and community colleges, including evening and weekend recruitment programs.
- Serves as part of the Admissions team and manages a recruitment territory, contacting and informing prospective high school students, guidance counselors, and transfer students about Nicholls programs and campus life.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Directors of Admissions and Enrollment Services, ensuring affirmative action, equal opportunity, and diversity are integral to all actions.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
- Exceptional communication skills.
- Experience in marketing, public relations, or sales is preferred.
