About the position

Farnum is Easterseals New Hampshire's comprehensive alcohol and other drug addiction treatment program that offers a full continuum of care including Detoxification, Residential and Outpatient services. At the heart of all we do is our belief that individuals can, with the right assistance, achieve lasting recovery and all of its rewards. We are seeking an Admissions Counselor to join the Farnum team! The individual in this key position will provide coordination and support to prospective clients and referral sources with the goal of maintaining a full census. The role of the Admissions Counselor is also to complete the intake process and follow the client throughout their treatment stay with the aim to ensure a positive experience and ensure their needs are being met. Responsibilities will include representing the substance abuse programs to prospective clients, families, community members, funding sources, etc., developing and maintaining positive relationships, planning and implementing recruitment activities and marketing programs, representing the agency in the community, initiating new and repeated phone and in-person contacts with potential referral sources and answering and responding to all in-bound calls from individuals and organizations seeking information on program services.

Responsibilities

  • Provide coordination and support to prospective clients and referral sources to maintain a full census.
  • Complete the intake process for clients and follow them throughout their treatment stay.
  • Ensure a positive experience for clients and that their needs are being met.
  • Represent the substance abuse programs to prospective clients, families, and community members.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least two (2) years of experience in addiction services.
  • Valid driver's license, reliable vehicle, and insurance required.
