About the position

The Admissions Director/Community Liaison at Concordia at Sumner is responsible for coordinating all Health Center admissions, including Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living. This role involves gathering preadmission information, communicating with prospective residents and their families, and building relationships with professional referral sources. The position aims to enhance community knowledge and facilitate admissions while ensuring a high level of service to residents and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Act as coordinator for all Health Center admissions, including Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living.
  • Gather preadmission information and communicate with prospective residents, patients, and families until their admission.
  • Conduct presentations about the community and handle follow-up with telephone calls and appointments.
  • Identify key decision makers and communicate with those involved in making referrals or moving to the community.
  • Create new and maintain existing relationships with professional referral sources through various communication methods.
  • Participate in local organizations and events to enhance community knowledge and promote the community's capabilities.
  • Engage in community events such as health fairs, screenings, and outreach education.
  • Support marketing department members by becoming knowledgeable in admissions and direct sales, providing sales presentations and community tours as needed.
  • Stay updated on operational, competitive, and company information to respond effectively to inquiries.
  • Provide required reports on marketing activity and strategies upon request.
  • Assist in the preparation of in-house events, especially when outside prospects or professionals are in attendance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Healthcare background required, with AL, SNF, or rehab experience strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medical Assistance, HMOs, MCOs, and commercial insurance plans is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and computer skills.
  • Strong relationship building and customer service skills.
  • Commitment to serving residents and their families.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology, medication costs, and regulations preferred.
