About the position

The Admissions Director at Hudsonwide Health Care is responsible for overseeing the admissions process for a 120-bed Skilled Nursing Facility. This role involves coordinating resident referrals, establishing relationships with local hospitals and community organizations, and ensuring compliance with Medicare/Medicaid regulations. The Admissions Director plays a crucial role in supporting the facility's marketing efforts and facilitating a smooth transition for new admissions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating the resident referral and approval process in an efficient & timely manner.
• Establishing & maintaining relationships with local hospitals, physicians & community organizations to generate consistent admissions.
• Understanding the admissions process including policy, procedures, assessments & paperwork requirements.
• Supporting the facility's marketing efforts to generate a positive image & encourage the cultivation of referrals.
• Maintaining knowledge of regulations governing Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care reimbursement processes.
• Communicating special needs of new admissions to staff to ensure a smooth transition.
• Providing appointments for facility presentations and on-site tours.

Requirements

• Prior experience as post-acute and long-term care Admissions Director or Admissions Coordinator.
• Ability to work independently and with the facility interdisciplinary team.
• Self-driven with excellent internal sales/marketing skills.
• Ability to implement the process to achieve desired outcomes.
• Possess communication, time management, and organizational skills.
• Solid computer skills; working knowledge of MS Office; preferred experience with Sigma, NAVI and Allscripts.
