About the position

The Admissions / Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in maintaining resident census and developing marketing programs for the facility. This position involves acting as a liaison between the facility and the community, coordinating the admission process, and assisting families with administrative inquiries. The coordinator will also engage in market research and evaluate resident satisfaction, contributing to the overall goals of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain resident census based on facility goals.
  • Develop and implement a marketing program.
  • Act as a liaison between the facility and the community.
  • Coordinate the admission process and assist families with administrative questions.
  • Take interested families on tours of the facility.
  • Complete admission paperwork.
  • Verify insurance.
  • Coordinate with hospital case managers.
  • Utilize nursing skills to assist in assessments for admissions.
  • Conduct market research and make marketing suggestions to the committee.
  • Evaluate resident/family satisfaction with the admission process and facility.
  • Represent the facility at community and civic organization functions.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in the admission process required.
  • Ability to deal effectively with discharge planners, case managers, physicians, and families.
  • Demonstrate good customer service and public relations skills.
  • Ability to speak and present publicly.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must speak, read, write, and understand English.
