About the position

The Admissions/Marketing Director at Liberty Healthcare and Rehabilitation Services is responsible for driving the center's revenue growth through effective networking and marketing strategies. This role involves engaging with healthcare referral sources, screening prospective admissions, and ensuring the delivery of appropriate care in a long-term care setting. The director will also lead innovative programs, maintain communication with various stakeholders, and manage the admissions process to enhance the overall operational efficiency of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine networking visits to physicians, hospital discharge planners, case managers, and other healthcare referral sources.
  • Screen all prospective admissions to ensure appropriate care delivery in the long-term care setting.
  • Assess the cost-of-care for prospective admissions as determined by the admitting physician.
  • Provide necessary forms to request adequate medical information for admissions decisions.
  • Maintain open communication with fiscal intermediaries and state agencies regarding billing concerns.
  • Process prospective resident inquiries and maintain inquiry records.
  • Serve as a liaison between families, hospital discharge planners, social service agencies, and physicians.
  • Communicate resident admitting schedules according to facility admissions policy.
  • Assist families and residents in settling into their rooms upon admission.
  • Update Admissions/Move out reports and participate in sales update calls.
  • Maintain a list of community resources and review change-of-room requests.
  • Work closely with Area Directors and other departments regarding admissions and room changes.
  • Participate in Quality Assurance meetings and report weekly to the Administrator and Director of Resident Services.
  • Participate in census development and marketing meetings, and plan website posts monthly.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid Driver's License in the state of employment.
  • Demonstrated success in external marketing to healthcare referral sources is preferred.
  • Ability to problem-solve and work under pressure.
  • Knowledgeable about local, state, and federal regulations related to admissions and resident care.
