About the position
The Admissions Recruiter will assist the Office of Admissions at Purdue University in executing recruitment plans and achieving enrollment goals. This role involves actively participating in recruitment initiatives targeting prospective students in the southeast region of Texas, particularly in Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. The recruiter will collaborate with other regional representatives and campus staff to coordinate recruitment efforts and support on-campus programs and events. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with students, families, and educational partners, while also demonstrating critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Assist in administering and evaluating recruitment plans and programs.
- Facilitate recruitment initiatives targeting prospective students in southeast Texas.
- Coordinate efforts with other Purdue Regional Representatives and campus staff.
- Support campus staff in on-campus programs and local events.
- Engage with prospective students, families, and high school counselors.
- Travel throughout the region to cover recruitment events and initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- 2-3 years of experience in college admissions, recruitment, or college counseling.
- Experience in event and travel planning.
- Remote work experience.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong communication skills to engage diverse groups.

- History of working in higher education and a regional admissions network.
- Bilingual proficiency.
- Passion for working with diverse populations, including Historically Underrepresented Populations.
- Experience using the Slate CRM.
