About the position

As an Admissions Representative at Unitek Learning, you will play a crucial role in recruiting qualified students for the college's academic programs. This hybrid position allows for a combination of on-campus and remote work, providing flexibility while ensuring that you can effectively engage with potential students. Under direct supervision, your primary responsibility will be to provide accurate information and guidance to prospective students regarding the enrollment and admissions process. You will evaluate and resolve inquiries, issues, and problems that students may encounter, ensuring that appropriate actions are taken to satisfy both the students and the institution, while adhering to governmental regulations and accreditation standards. In this role, you will be expected to demonstrate a positive attitude, strong motivation, and a commitment to teamwork. Excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic are essential as you will be responsible for following through on commitments to students and the organization. You will utilize company-approved admissions materials during telephone calls, interviews, and the enrollment process, exercising judgment within defined procedures to determine the best course of action. Building relationships with potential students is a key component of your role. You will take inquiry calls, return web inquiries promptly, and make outbound calls to interested prospects. Participation in organized phone-a-thons and dialing campaigns is required, and you will also follow up on inquiries that do not result in scheduled interviews. Conducting student interviews will involve explaining program offerings and matching the college's benefits to the students' needs, ensuring that admissions management is well-informed about each student's motivations and concerns. Additionally, you will provide mentoring and guidance to students, helping them identify their unique skills and interests while addressing any inquiries or concerns they may have. Administrative tasks will include accurately accounting for all inquiries and admissions activities, completing daily activity reports, and ensuring that all pre-start paperwork is completed in a timely manner. You will also be required to attend training sessions and meetings as directed by your supervisor, performing other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit qualified students for the college's academic programs in a compliant and professional manner.
  • Provide basic information and routine guidance to potential students regarding enrollment and the admissions process.
  • Evaluate and resolve student inquiries, issues, and problems, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
  • Uphold enrollment standards by complying with governmental regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Take inquiry calls from potential students and encourage them to schedule interviews.
  • Return web inquiries and calls promptly, providing accurate information about programs.
  • Make outbound phone calls to potential students expressing interest in attending the institution.
  • Participate in organized phone-a-thons and dialing campaigns according to company best practices.
  • Follow up on inquiries that fail to schedule or show for an interview.
  • Schedule and conduct student interviews, ensuring compliance with company policy regarding Financial Aid.
  • Utilize approved company materials during the interview process and conduct interviews according to stated policies.
  • Meet with potential students to explain program offerings and match them to their needs.
  • Serve as a liaison between students and campus, assisting with enrollment forms and compliance documentation.
  • Mentor and advise students to help them identify their unique skills and interests.
  • Accurately account for all inquiries and admissions activity, completing daily activity reports.
  • Ensure all pre-start paperwork is completed accurately and timely.
  • Attend and complete all required training for the position.

Requirements

  • Candidates with consultative sales experience and/or recruiting experience strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of customer service, telemarketing, or sales experience, including admissions experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to fulfill Company Key Behaviors.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Outlook.
  • Ability to work assigned/flexible hours necessary to complete the job.
