About the position

The Admitting Registrar serves as a key member of the Patient Registration team at Samaritan Lebanon Community Hospital, assisting the supervisor in managing workloads and addressing immediate staffing or departmental issues. This role is crucial in ensuring a positive first interaction for patients as they enter the facility, providing essential support in the admissions process and maintaining high standards of customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor in allocating workloads within the Patient Registration team.
• Resolve immediate staffing or departmental issues in the absence of the supervisor.
• Ensure accurate demographic information is collected from patients upon arrival.
• Provide excellent customer service to create a positive experience for patients.
• Maintain compliance with State and Federal laws regarding patient confidentiality.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of Patient Registration experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Experience or training in ADT functions and regulatory/compliance issues related to the Admissions process required.
• Leadership experience in a customer service setting may substitute for up to six months of required experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality.
