About the position

The Adobe Commerce Cloud Lead at Rysun Labs is a pivotal role that combines active coding contributions with leadership responsibilities. This position involves guiding both internal and external development teams, ensuring high-quality code through reviews, and managing deployments to various environments. The role is integral to enhancing the agility of the organization as it transitions to more internal development while maintaining collaboration with external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Develop front and backend solutions in Adobe Commerce Cloud and Adobe Edge Delivery Services for user stories
  • Provide guidance to onshore and offshore developers in implementing user stories, features, and bug fixes
  • Merge and deploy releases to development and production environments
  • Increase code coverage of automated tests
  • Integrate new digital marketing and analytics tools into Magento
  • Estimate and define tasks for sprints
  • Regularly review logs for errors and implement fixes for them
  • Document processes and workflows
  • Fine-tune front and backend site architecture to optimize site performance
  • Work with the infrastructure team to ensure that the environments are optimized
  • Monitor site for uptime and help resolve issues
  • Other duties as directed by management

Requirements

  • B.S. in Computer Science or similar field or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience architecting, developing, and supporting both front-end and back-end web systems in a mid-size or larger company
  • 3 years of experience working in an Adobe Commerce 2.3 or higher ecommerce environment architecting, integrating, designing, developing, testing, and maintaining an ecommerce website
  • Adobe Commerce certification is a plus
  • 3 years of experience programming SQL statements and designing MySQL or MS SQL Server data models
  • 3 years of experience being responsible for the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Understanding of Adobe Commerce's code structure, extension architecture, and theme hierarchy
  • Experience with Adobe Commerce APIs (REST, GraphQL) and building custom Magento modules
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager
  • Experience with Automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and other DevOps best practices
