ADU Resource Center is your One-Stop Shop for any and all ADU (Accessory Dwelling Unit) projects. We are experts in every aspect of ADUs, Residential Additions, Garage Conversions, and much more. Our company assists in every step of the project from start to finish, designing and building Accessory Dwelling Units for homeowners. We are currently in need of an experienced, highly motivated Architectural Designer to join our team of professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural design, particularly in residential single-family homes, and will be familiar with the design and permitting processes specific to ADUs. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in architectural design, with at least 2 years specifically focused on Residential/ADU Design. The role involves working closely with clients to determine their requirements for building projects and helping to express their design intent. Familiarity with local code regulations for most residential areas in Los Angeles and surrounding cities is essential, as is the ability to navigate the plan submittal process for these areas. The Architectural Designer will be responsible for creating and preparing detailed architectural packages, including drawings and plans for Accessory Dwelling Units, Garage Conversions, and Residential Remodels. Additionally, the candidate should possess the ability to read and understand structural drawings and details, and should be willing to learn new codes such as SB9. Proficiency in Revit is required, as the candidate will need to model and produce architectural plans and details. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to communicate effectively and professionally. A positive and productive attitude, along with the ability to multitask and problem-solve, is essential for success in this role.
